Music is an excellent way of transporting yourself away from all your worries!

many of us play instruments at home and it really helps to wile away dark winter evenings and yet it is also great to play in a group with other people.

When you hear a group performing, it is often easy to forget how difficult it is to get the timing right and to get all the notes in the correct place. The concentration and the practice is immense and yet so satisfying when you get it right.

Playing an instrument is a really interesting and challenging hobby. It also helps to build self esteem and communication skills and is excellent for overall wellbeing.

Our music club provides opportunities for people to learn the keyboard. We provide up to 12 weeks of lessons after which people can either go on to other teachers or they should be able to teach themselves. We will provide ongoing support if they get stuck!

If we can find the appropriate instruments we also play duets.

We have also just started an improvisation group to play Jazz, Blues, Folk and Soul music.
