Music club gives first concert

Known now as The Launderettes, because we rehearse in a music studio which used to be a laundry, the music club gave its first concert at Castle Hill Nursing Home.  It was really well received and we’ve been asked back again – so we’re very excited to be officially on tour !

We perform a mixture of classical music, jazz, pop and folk.  We have two outstanding pianists, as well as a very talented flautist, violinist and saxophonist.  We also try our hands at other instruments including drums, bass guitar and mandolin – so if you want to join us, don’t feel you have to be experienced – we welcome beginners.  A big thank you to Councillors Kennedy, Kerridge and Robertson for funding us through the Community Chest scheme.
