Shauna completes Amsterdam Half Marathon
Our sincere thanks and congratulations go to Shauna Neville who completed the Amsterdam half marathon in aid of our Restormel Befriending Scheme. Shauna, a keen member of Newquay lady runners, joined a group of enthusiastic people taking part last October in this exciting international event. Shauna said ''We spent 5 days in Amsterdam enjoying the sights and preparing for the race. It was a wonderful experience and a great atmosphere, with lots of runners raising money for their own charities. I trained hard for the event, fitting in 25 miles a week of road running, between work and family commitments. We were lucky that the weather was warm and dry and the highlight of the trip was was seeing my first windmill !'. Shauna raised £150 in sponsorship on behalf of the charity.

Christmas Decorations
The Knit and Natter group got stuck into making some beautiful Christmas Decorations to brighten up the Wellbeing Centre in Bodmin ready for our Christmas party. They used ivy and greenery from the Soil to Soup garden project and then added bows and tinsel, together with some very pretty tissue paper. The Knit and Natter group meets every Wednesday afternoon and as well as trying out new knitting patterns they also do cross stitch and other interesting crafts. People are encouraged to bring along their own craftwork and in February there will also be a flower arranging workshop.
